While much of the Boquete District went to Bajo Boquete to watch the Separation Day Parade I decided to follow the money to Palmira Centro. I asked for the money to help the band at the elementary school and several people who frequent BoqueteNing.com donated in excess of five hundred dollars. As my think you to them I decided to go to the school and take some photos of their celebration and some video of the band.

Palmira School Band Boquete

This school has mostly indigenous students from the farms in the area. The donated money went to buy drums, hats, shoes and pants for many students. Rather than me writing I have two videos, the first is of the school singing the National Hymn of Panama.

The second video is of the entire school marching through the very small town of Palmira Centro.
