Boxing Boquete, the Saturday Night Fights

I did not want to go, boxing has never been something I considered a sport for either participation or observation. My last fight was a beer induced brawl in college, even then I was pulled into the fray unwillingly. Still Richard asked and Mayra said boxing is a Panamanian cultural reality so I decided boxing, not dancing at The BCP.

She just smiled and melted grown men, no gloves required

It is my hope those who went dancing had a wonderful evening, we certainly did. We joined a host of other expats and locals at Boquete’s Los Narajanos gym for an evening of rum, beer, beautiful women and the dance of boxing. I can elaborate but the photos tell the story better than I can.

  1. Bjorn Sefeldt says:

I hop[e Mayra didnt drink that whole bottle by herself!

  2. Personally, I think I’d prefer to watch los Indios boxing behind Romero’s.

P.S. Often these fights are not restricted to just Saturday, and are usually accompanied by a group hug or two.
