Outside Jazz band performance

Yesterday at Finca Azul in Dolega, just a short ride from Boquete, we went to a performance of the Outside Jazz band; it was fantastic.
The concert was a benefit performance and both the facility and the quality of music was excellent.
Aside from our table of four, not a soul from the English speaking community was present. This was the third cultural event I attended recently that has had no participation from the English speaking community. My echoing question is why?
Chiriqui Panama is developing its own unique cultural synthesis. I have been to a poetry reading, an art conference and yesterday a jazz concert. Only the conference required a working knowledge of Spanish, the poetry was beauty in any language and music is unique in crossing all barriers.
I urge the Boquete community to participate more in the culture in Chiriqui. Your life will become a richer experience if you step into the larger community.
