Flooding and mud slides in Boquete Panama

I have no electricity at my house in Boquete Panama today. It has been raining heavily here today and I came to Amigos restaurant to use the Internet. I have just been told that there has been a mud slide in Valle Escondido which has destroyed several homes and damaged others. I have no immediate way of confirming the extent of the damage.

Hi Lee,
I can only talk for our street here in Valle Escondido, but water came down the road, under the front door, and flooded the condo we were temporarily staying in. Luckily, no furniture was in and our bags were still packed. We have electricity here but no water. We also saw large pieces of the hillside along El Salto Road come tumbling down into the river.
