Casa Hogar Trisker, Boquete

As you drive down the road from Boquete to David you have probably noticed this sign.

Casa Hogar Trisker is a government program to care for children in transition. Children are placed into the facility by the courts when their family cannot care for them. The facility houses children from under one year through 18 years of age. Although the facility has staff and funding for the minimal levels required there is always a need for more.

Jennifer and I took blankets and they were received with great happiness. As you can see on the sign the Boquete Rotary Club is very involved in trying to assist the program. I would love to share more photos however they will not allow us to take pictures inside the facility.

There are a few times a week that volunteers are allowed in to share some time with the children. If you are interested in becoming involved please contact members of the Boquete Rotary and I am sure they will provide you information.

I would like information on what the children may need and if I can visit the children and brings things they are in need of?

Are any of the children for adoption?

  2. Hello,
I’m retired, and live in Volcan, Chiriqui.
Could someone be kind enough to tell me a bit about how to help with funding?
What I’m primarily interested in is info about having Hogar Trisker’s name on my account for when I die.
    Thanks

  5. Gill Humphrey says:

My son, Alex, disappeared in Boquete in August last year and no trace of him has ever been found. His friends in Manchester, UK, held an arts event in his honour. They raised some money.
Alex worked at a school for children with disabilities and spent a lot of his spare time at a youth club for young adults with learning disabilities. He specialised in using music and drama.

He would have approved of your work. I am visiting Panama next week and would like to make a small donation. Please contact me.
